Quartz, Haematitic, Aberdaunant. (CWO)

Quartz, SiO2, Aberdaunant mine, Central Wales orefield. Small prismatic crystals in druzy form, with varying degrees of hematitic colouration, from pale red to yellowish brown. The reddish colour is caused by trace elements of Iron, incorporated during crystal growth.
